About the Show
DJ King is the host of Blazing Saturday on Suga 95.7FM, bringing good vibes and great music every Saturday from 10 AM to 12 Noon. His love for music began as a teenager in Jamaica, where he was inspired by legendary sound systems like King Tubby’s Hi-Fi and the voice of U-Roy. That early influence sparked a lifelong passion for music that continues to shine through in his sets.
DJ King often DJs at family and community events, sharing his energy and love for conscious music with those around him. After moving to New York City, he attended high school and later York College, where his appreciation for music and positive thinking grew even stronger.
A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, DJ King lives an active lifestyle — he enjoys swimming, biking, and is a huge fan of both soccer and football. While his musical taste spans many genres, reggae — especially the deep rhythms of drum and bass — remains his all-time favorite.
